Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy
Wonder why Vampires look young forever? You guessed it right, they drink blood! Don’t worry we won’t do that. We use your own blood’s healing properties to produce fresh tissue and get you that refreshed and rejuvenated look.
Our body generates new cells every day, creating new tissue and repairing the existing skin. But with age and external factors, some skin areas are less likely to regenerate cells causing that skin area to lose its sheen.
The Vampire Facial uses your own blood’s healing properties to rejuvenate facial skin. This therapy utilises your body’s own ability to regenerate, heal and anti-age any treated area. This technique has got many famous followers like Kim Kardashian. The treatment is also known as Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP).
What can be treated with PRP?
If you suffer from any of the below conditions, then Vampire Facial is best for you.
- All signs of ageing
- Hair Loss
- Stretch Marks
- Acne/Post Acne Scars
- Dark Circles
- Saggy & Loose Skin
- Tired & Aged Skin
- Sun Damage & Scars
What is involved in the procedure?
The practitioner takes a small amount of blood which is put into laboratory equipment to separate the red blood cells from the plasma. The plasma is then injected into the desired area using very fine needles. The plasma contains those amazing cells called platelets which are responsible for skin growth and regeneration. Platelets wake the stem cells causing them to transform, heal and produce new cells.
How many procedures are required?
Everyone’s needs are dependent on their skin condition and the area that needs to be treated. The practitioner will discuss this with you during the consultation. The standard protocol is at least 3 treatments per year, the total needed depends on the area to be treated and individual circumstances. Hair restoration through PRP requires more treatments.
Is it painful?
There may be mild discomfort from injections and a tingling sensation. This is a normal part of healing process. A mild erythema(redness) may be visible for few hours in the treatment area.
What results are expected?
The treatment will give you an instant skin ‘glow’ on the days following the procedure and then the magic begins as the actual process of new cell formation begins. You will continue to see improvements over the next 30 to 90 days as you produce new cells in the treated area.
We don’t stop there, we combine different treatments, like Dermal fillers, Anti-wrinkle injections, LED Phototherapy and Radiofrequency to give you the best results you can get. These combination treatments can provide real solutions so book your PRP Consultation today!
